Personal ProfileHi, I'm Jim Mould, and here is just a little background
information about me. After 31 years of working in the financial services' industry in the West Midlands, I had the opportunity of taking early retirement in June 2000. A few months later, my wife, Moira, and I moved to Lochcarron in the NW Highlands of Scotland, where we have since started a holiday letting business. During my financial services' career, I witnessed the massive growth of computer usage in the business environment, from the early stages of the introduction of simple punch-tape machines in basic bank branch office procedures in the late 1960's, to the use of very sophisticated and, comparatively speaking, very powerful, laptop computers at the point of sale during my last 12 to 15 years as a financial adviser. Computers and the Internet have transformed the way in which all businesses operate, whether they be large or small; they have massive potential for enabling all businesses, irrespective of size, to market themselves successfully, efficiently, and cost-effectively. In addition, they provide the framework for the swift and efficient processing of mundane tasks such as book keeping, maintaining records, sending mail-shots, etc., thus freeing up the time of you and your staff to get on with other work. I find this power and capacity quite fascinating, hence my decision to set up a business working with computers. I feel that my long experience in financial services has given me a very useful insight into many of the needs of small businesses especially as regards marketing. This experience is now a major asset in my website design and promotion activities. Also, my work as a financial adviser taught me the very great importance of providing an ongoing backup service to my clients, and I will certainly ensure that similar standards are maintained for my Business Services' clients.
